Top 5 Best House Music Artists Today

House and techno music, though not as popular in the United States today, still have very talented performers. There are many today that do not appreciate House music because of the fact that it sometimes has the tendency to sound a bit different than other forms of electronic. But in my opinion, difference should be embraced. This is my list of the top 5 best in House music nowadays.

5. Steve Aoki: There is no way I could leave Steve Aoki off of this list. He is one of the best collaboration House electronic music artists, but unlike David Guetta, he

does not make the supporting acts do everything for him. His own beats speak for his efforts, and each beat shows off his skill. His latest album is a great example of this.

4. Knife Party: Do not complain that Knife Party is on both my top House and Dubstep lists; they truly deserve it. Knife Party has been on the rise lately, and though their remixes have propelled them toward the top of Brostep, their original work reflects masterful House music. The song, "Internet Friends," truly displays one of the best recent House efforts and shows House music working towards a new direction. All of their best work has come about during the last two years, and they bring new blood to an older genre.

3. Benny Benassi: Benny Benassi has been making amazing House music since the early 2000s and many devout House music fans would label him a legend. He gained worldwide recognition with his 2002 hit single "Satisfaction" and has not looked back. Though none of his recent work, other than a Skrillex Brostep remix of his song "Cinema", has gained mass support, he still

makes amazing music. Although his style has changed a bit, there is no way one could deny Benny from placing on this list.

2. Deadmau5: Since 2005, many have named House/Electro artist and producer Deadmau5 (pronounced Deadmouse) as the "Prince of House Music." I do not know if I completely agree with that title, but I do agree that he is extremely good. All of his songs have a unique tone to them, and no two songs sound alike. He will work within the genre (songs like "Ghosts N' Stuff") or venture out for fun ("Raise Your Weapon"). His talent is almost unmatched and his song have become instant club and dance hits. Deadmau5's career is long from dead.

1, Daft Punk: The one artist that could displace Deadmau5 at number one would be one of the inspirations for the modern House music movement, Daft Punk. Daft Punk have been making good Electro/House music for almost 20 years and show no signs of stopping after recently providing the soundtrack to the movie Tron: Legacy. The French duo have made House anthems such as "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" and "One More Time," and were big names before any of the above artists caught the public eye. Daft Punk is still running strong, and they will always be the Kings of House Music in my opinion.

Other artists that almost made the list include The Bloody Beetroots, David Guetta, Axwell, and Bodyrox.
